2 Corinthians 12:7-10
In order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

As a therapist my goal is to provide a safe, non judgmental, and secure space for you to find growth and healing. I take a strengths based client centered approach. I use interventions that have a foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and include other modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. One size does not fit all and this is especially true of the therapeutic process; for this reason I take an eclectic approach to support my clients. The interventions utilized are dependent on the client's therapy goals. Once these goals have been identified the most appropriate evidence based intervention will be implemented in our work together.
People often come to therapy when the road gets rough and are seeking change. As someone who has been there, I get it. The struggle is real and your experience may be challenging. While finding healing can be a struggle it is undoubtedly worth it. That said, I want to convey the hope and knowledge that transformation is possible, change is possible, and your goals are achievable. You are in the driver seat of your life and I am excited and privileged as a therapist to ride shotgun on this journey during our time working together. I look forward to providing you with support as you navigate this portion of your life as you take the road less traveled to find healing, hope, and the change you've been seeking.
