Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. - Colossians 3:16
I began my academic journey in Texas, where I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology from Lubbock Christian University. I then transitioned to Santa Fe, New Mexico, obtaining my Master's in Counseling and Art Therapy from Southwestern College in 2022. Since then, I've dedicated myself to serving diverse populations, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, across various settings, including community mental health centers within schools and correctional facilities. I am passionate about providing accessible and compassionate mental health support to all people, regardless of their background or current situation.
My therapeutic approach is client-centered and eclectic, integrating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practices, and person-centered therapy, tailoring each session to your unique needs. I provide a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, utilizing empathy, active listening, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused techniques. Together, we will work collaboratively to identify your goals and develop strategies for positive change. I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to:
Recognizing that expression takes many forms, I offer both talk therapy and art making. Art making provides a powerful way to access and process emotions, fostering self-expression and promoting healing in a non-threatening environment. No artistic experience is necessary. The focus is on the process of creation, not the final product. Regardless of the methods we use, I believe in your inherent capacity for growth and resilience, and I am committed to helping you discover your own inner strength.
My highest priority is providing you with the most effective and ethical care, and I continuously pursue advanced training to ensure I am using the best practices available. If you're ready to take the next step, I invite you to reach out.
